About

OUR STORY

As the board debated on a name to call ourselves, a couple of things came into consideration. We wanted something that was broad. We didn’t want people thinking that you could only join if you lived in the Pearl City/Aiea area.

Looking towards the future, we also wanted to keep it broad so we’d have the ability to expand. What can we expand to… the sky’s the limit. Some things that we envision are adult baseball leagues, after school programs, free clinics for the community, just to name a few.

How did we come up with HiBA? We wanted the acronym to be catchy so people could easily remember us. After weeks of brain storming we came up with the Hawaii Baseball Association or HiBA.
