Hawaii Training Camps – Dodgers Training Academy

Hawaii… and baseball. It’s a combination that may be too hard to pass up!

So if you happen to be headed to the Islands this summer or winter, or know someone else who is, we’re excited to tell you that the Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing their renowned youth baseball camps to Oahu for the first time. Through a partnership with the Dodgers Training Academy, boys and girls aged 8-12 can learn from a group of instructors who have played the game at the highest level. Each Dodgers Training Academy Hawaii camp will run for four days, from 9am to 12pm, and campers will work on the five basic tools of the game: hitting, hitting for power, running, throwing and pitching, and fielding.

HiBA’s response to COVID-19

UPDATE: April 27, 2020 – Though City Parks were reopened this past Saturday, April 25, they have been opened for designated exercises activities to ONLY include: running, walking, jogging, and bicycle riding. Users are NOT allowed to remain in the park for other activities, such as sports. With the stay-at-home order extended through the end of May, we don’t expect to resume any time before that. Should anything change between now and then, we’ll reassess and keep you apprised.

March 19, 2020 – As a result of all City parks being closed through April 30, 2020, all practices, games, and league activities are cancelled until further notice. We hope to be able to resume our normal league activities come May. Again, as these dates near, the HiBA Board will reconvene to reassess the situation and keep you apprised of any changes.

March 12, 2020 – The health, safety, and well-being of our children, coaches, family, and friends are HiBA’s first priority. In response to new developments with respect to COVID-19, we feel it necessary to do our part to minimize the risk of spreading the virus in the community.

Tonight, we are announcing that we are suspending all HiBA games until April 11, 2020. The practices of our community teams will be suspended through April 6, 2020. We are advising that our intact teams follow suit as well. As these dates near, the HiBA Board will reconvene to reassess the situation and will keep you apprised of any changes.

We thank you and wish you well.

HiBA.
